Filmmaker Chris Columbus (“Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”) is returning to kids fantasy with the live-action series “House of Secrets”.
Based on the books he co-authored with the late Ned Vizzini, Columbus will develop the project with producing partners Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
The story follows siblings Brendan, Eleanor and Cordelia Walker who are unhappy when their family relocates to a creepy Victorian house once owned by an occult novelist, Denver Kristoff.
By the time the Walkers realize their new neighbor has sinister plans for them, they’re trapped in the magical house, traveling through the fantastical intertwined universes of Kristoff’s novels.
