The final week of production for the Dwayne Johnson-led DC Comics adaptation “Black Adam” is currently taking place and today the actor has shared two behind-the-scenes photos from the Atlanta set.
One offers a tiny glimpse at Johnson in the anti-hero’s iconic black suit, the other showcasing him in full flex and confirming he’s wearing “not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit”.
Instead, The Rock went through intense training to achieve his physique for the character which makes his live-action debut after only appearing in animated form.
The film adaptation will also feature the live-action film introduction of the Justice Society of America. Co-stars include Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman along with Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu.
Jaume Collet-Serra helms from a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani. “Black Adam” will be released in cinemas on July 29th 2022.
