Our Flag Means Death
“Cruella” actor Joel Fry along with Ewen Bremner, David Fane, Guz Khan and Matt Maher have all joined David Jenkins’ HBO Max pirate comedy series “Our Flag Means Death”.
Rhys Darby plays Stede Bonnet a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. The new additions join the likes of Rory Kinnear, Kristian Nairn, Nathan Foad and Samson Kayo while Taika Waititi appears as Blackbeard along with directing the pilot and executive producing. The Lord of the Rings
Charles Edwards, Will Fletcher and newcomers Amelie Child-Villiers and Beau Cassidy are the final additions to the sprawling cast of the first season of Amazon’s “The Lord of the Rings” series.
Specifics of their characters are under wraps but an early 2022 debut for the show, which has been in production since early 2020, is looking likely. [Source: THR]
The fourth season of cable’s top-rated series “Yellowstone” is reportedly targeting an early November premiere. Jacki Weaver, Piper Perabo, Kathryn Kelly and Finn Little join the cast for the new season. In addition, the prequel series “1883” for Paramount+ will begin production late summer in Texas.
The Walking Dead
AMC has revealed a new teaser for the first part of the eleventh and final season of “The Walking Dead”. The season will feature 24 episodes split into two parts.
Whilst mostly sticking to the old familiar characters, the clip does offer a glimpse of Michael James Shaw’s Mercer character. The first half of the season kicks off August 22nd.
Tig Notaro: Drawn
HBO has set a July 24th premiere date for “Tig Notaro: Drawn,” an hourlong animated comedy special blending a full Notaro stand-up routine with animation allowing recreations of stories ranging from a road trip with Dolly Parton to a hospital bed proposal.
